Troop 0176, based in Quantico, Virginia, is a vibrant and dynamic Scout troop dedicated to building leadership, character, and adventure for all. In 2024, we were honored to be selected as a pilot troop for a combined unit of both girls and boys, and the results have been phenomenal!

Our Scouts thrive in a collaborative and inclusive environment, working together to tackle challenges, earn achievements, and make lasting memories. From exciting campouts and service projects to earning the Eagle Scout award, Troop 0176 sets the standard for teamwork and excellence.

With the pilot program exceeding expectations, Troop 0176 is proud to represent the future of Scouting, where every Scout has the opportunity to grow, lead, and succeed.

Our Story

Troop 176, based in Quantico, Virginia, has a rich history of fostering leadership, community service, and personal development among youth. Established in 1956, the troop has been an integral part of the Quantico community, providing a structured program that emphasizes character building, citizenship, and physical fitness.

Over the years, Troop 176 has been actively involved in various community service projects.

The troop has a strong tradition of guiding Scouts to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. This achievement reflects the troop's commitment to excellence and the effectiveness of its program in developing capable and responsible individuals.

Troop 176 meets every Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Scout Hut located on 126 Neville Road on Marine Corps Base, Quantico.

The troop is part of the Aquia District, which includes Stafford County, Virginia, and Marine Corps Base Quantico, and is under the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
